Iain McGuire
Founder and Principal

Iain McGuire is the Managing Director for Incipio Consulting and has over 25 years of corporate finance experience of which 17 years have been in Central and Eastern Europe.

Iain has had extensive experience in M&A activity, financing, international tax planning and due diligences. He was previously a Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers in Zagreb, Ljubljana and Budapest.

During his years in PricewaterhouseCoopers he was involved in a wide range of M&A projects, including the privatisation of a state owned power station acquired by EDF; the acquisition of Kecskemét canning factory by Heinz, the acquisition of state owned tobacco company by Philip Morris; the post-acquisition structuring of the largest CEE pharma group acquired by a US Pharma group.

In addition to his experience with PwC, Iain was advisor to the Finance Minister in Sierra Leone, West Africa, as part of a long term World Bank project on total restructuring of all aspects of the Ministry of Finance.

Iain holds a degree in Economics and speaks English and French.

Philip Buljan-Law
Director

Philip is a director in the Business Department. Philip specialises in the banking and financial sectors. He has extensive experience in the areas of post merger restructuring and integration and has been involved in assisting some of the most high profile banking and financial institutions in the region and the UK . 


Philip has also considerable previous experience in the wider corporate finance field with one of the big four accounting firms and a leading international consulting company.

Alastair Graham
Director

Alastair Graham is Incipio's hotel, leisure and hospitality expert, having enjoyed a long career in corporate finance dealing mainly with the hotel and leisure sectors. He has been based in Budapest for some 20 years, firstly as a director with PricewaterhouseCoopers and now as Incipio's consultant to the hotel and leisure industry. Among his clients are many international hotel companies. He was responsible for the sale of the famous Gundel Restaurant in Budapest and continues to be active in many hotel developments and management across the region being particularly closely involved with the Danubius Hotel group in Hungary. Alastair also manages on behalf of a major financial institution the golf and leisure complex at Bükfürdő (Hungary) near the Austrian border.


Alastair has a wide range of major contacts and players in the hotel and leisure industry not only in the region but in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

Zorislav Preksavec
Business Development Director

Zorislav is a director and head of the Business Development Department.  Preksi is known for his professional and responsive approach and for his ability to develop long term, valued relationships with clients. Preksi’s charm and willingness to talk to anyone and everyone has been key to building our large local client base.

Danijel Pevec
Senior Analyst

Danijel is a CFA candidate and holds a Masters degree  in Corporate Finance, SDA Bocconi (Milan, 2011) as well as a degree in international Business and Management from Zagreb School of Economics and Management (Zagreb, 2009) and Panamericana Universidad (Mexico City, 2006). In addition to his academic background, Danijel has completed training in advanced and complex financial modeling (Leveraged Buy Out and Mergers & Acquisitions) for Private Equity and Investment Banking projects.


Danijel has an international professional background (Singapore, Germany, Italy, Croatia and Serbia) in several financial disciplines, including Corporate and Investment Banking, Financial Advisory Services, and Financial Restructuring. As an analyst in the investment banking and financial advisory business sectors, Danijel has worked on a variety of deals in the areas of finance including mergers & acquisitions, due diligence and asset valuations.
